Why WCF?
The world of felinology has several major international systems—WCF (World Cat Federation), FIFe (Fédération Internationale Féline), TICA (The International Cat Association), CFA (The Cat Fanciers' Association), and others. Each offers its own perspective on breed standards, breeding approaches, and show formats.
We have consciously chosen WCF—not only as one of the most widespread systems in Europe, but also as an organization where the quality of judging, transparency of evaluation, and respect for the animals are the top priorities. WCF judges operate within a single, strictly regulated set of Show Rules, and the very structure of the competitions is designed to evaluate each animal as objectively as possible—regardless of its country of origin, the popularity of its color, or the status of its cattery.

A WCF show is much more than a beauty contest. It is a dialogue between the breeder and the expert, an opportunity to receive professional feedback and understand how closely your pet conforms to the ideal type of its breed. Kittens can participate from 3 months of age in Class 16 (CACP), and from 6–10 months—in other age categories. Cats over 10 months compete in the Open Class and higher, and even animals without a pedigree can participate once in the Novice Class—which underscores the system's openness and inclusivity.
After being judged in the class rings, every participant receives an official certificate with the WCF logo, the judge's signature, and a detailed description—a document that holds significance both for breeding work and international recognition. The best of the best are then invited to the final Best in Show (BIS), where winners are determined by coat category: Longhair, Shorthair, Siamese/ORI, and Hairless (provided no less than 10 cats are competing in the category).
The Best Cat system within WCF is particularly valuable: the best female and best male are selected in each group, after which an overall hierarchy of the show's winners is formed. It is in this very format that our cats have repeatedly proven their excellence:
- Zephir became the Best Selkirk Rex in the World for 2024 by WCF,
- Amber Allada Cat (a breeding male from our cattery) became the Best Shorthair Selkirk Rex in the World for 2025 and a European Champion.
To earn titles such as International Champion or Grand Champion, it takes more than just a lucky day; it requires demonstrating quality under three different judges at international shows in three different countries—which makes every title a genuine achievement, not a random victory.
For us, participating in shows is not about chasing after ribbons, but about validating the quality of our breeding work, our care for the health, temperament, and well-being of every animal. And we are grateful to WCF for the opportunity to develop in an environment that values professionalism, integrity, and a genuine love for cats.
