About Us - Allada Cat - Selkirk Rex Cats Cattery, Russia

Welcome to Allada Cat— a Selkirk Rex kennel founded in 2004 (WCF) and registered with FIFe in 2006.

Our story began with a cat that came from the legendary German cattery FROMSHAM. Her unusual coat, soft character and expressiveness were a revelation to us. Soon the first kittens were born, and the best of them, Gothic and Kefir, stayed with us as breeding animals and family members.

In 2008, breeding work was suspended, and Gothic and Kefir continued to live next to us. For 17 long years they have been our companions, reminding us that behind every breed there is a living being with character and soul. After they left, we realized that the story wasn't over. She's waiting for you to continue.

We came back and went back to the basics.

From the same FROMSHAM cattery, Marshmallows and Cinnamon came to us — new producers combining outstanding exterior typicality, health and excellent character. All of our Selkirk Rexes undergo genetic tests, have a negative polycystic kidney disease status, and participate in exhibitions, confirming the high level of breeding work.

Cats of this breed adapt very easily to new conditions and have stable temperaments; it seems nothing can disturb or frighten a Selkirk. They get along without any problems in groups with other cats, as Selkirks are not aggressive, do not strive for dominance, and are very sociable, curious, and cheerful.
